Photographing your Kids – Masterclass
Wednesday morning, 23rd May
A Masterclass with Tomas Laskowski from Day in Life Storytelling Photography
How many times have you seen your kids doing something adorable and wanted to immortalize the moment, but the result was… just another picture?
You will learn how to see and use the light to tell a story. You will learn how to work the scene, how to anticipate the shoot, how to position yourself to create the most interest. You will get tips on composition, on recognizing emotional triggers, and learning what to expect, what to avoid, what to watch out for and so much more.
Most importantly you will learn how to shoot deliberately because you will understand how to really “see” your subjects.
Leave the posed pictures behind – make images that in 40 years won’t just remind you how they looked, but will show you who they were. Your family will thank you for it.
Wednesday 23th May / 9:45am – 12pm noon

Tomas Laskowski is a documentary family photographer based in Dublin. He is a father of two, a nerd, and the owner of the Day in Life Storytelling Photography. Constantly inspired by his kids Tomas took an alternative approach to family photography and left behind all posing guides, studio lights, and wardrobe choices to create real honest portraits of family lives for himself and his clients. His unique style took him to the covers of magazines, interviews around the world and TV shows.
