Biography:
Born in Dublin in 1950, Pete Smyth worked as a printer and sign maker until 1988. A self-taught photographer, he was a leading figure in Alternative Entertainments community arts group in Tallaght from 1989 until 1997. His major solo exhibition, A View from the Dearth – photographs of the Cushlawn Park area was held in the Gallery of Photography in 1991.
