Biography:
Born in Dublin in 1974, John studied Fine Art (Sculpture) at The Ruskin School of Fine Art and Drawing, Oxford University, and received a Master of Fine Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2000, and a Master of Science from Trinity College in 2001.
He has exhibited widely, in US, Austria and Ireland, and mounted his first major solo exhibition here at the Gallery of Photography in 2003. He received a Gallery of Photography Development Bursary in 2001, an Arts Council Projects Award in 2004 and a Production Award from the Banff Center (Canada) in 2005. His work is in The Arts Council Collection and many private collections.
