Biography: Born in Dublin in 1971, Tadhg left Ireland in 1993 to study photography in Cornwall, UK. After completing his studies he was offered a place at Magnum Photos in London where he was assistant to Magnum president Chris Steele-Perkins. Since leaving Magnum, Devlin has remained in London as a freelance photographer and his work has appeared in many publications. He is currently studying for an MFA in Documentary Photography in Newport, Wales.
The piece in this exhibition is from 'The Fifth Province', a four-year project which was awarded the Gallery of Photography Develoment Bursary in 2005 and was shown here in 2006, and in Siamsa Tire Gallery, Kerry in 2007.
