After the Off is an exhibition of photos capturing the people of rural Ireland. Gilden captures the ‘riveting strangeness’ that is at the core of horse racing in Ireland. The camera catches by-standers in the craziness of horse-betting.

About the artist: Bruce Gilden grew up in Brooklyn. He developed a love of the streets, often calling them his “second home.” He has an attraction to what he calls “characters”. In 1984, Bruce made his first trip to Haiti where he worked for ten years and a book came out of it titled Haiti which was published in 1995 and won the European Award for Photography.
